"We pride ourselves on being a fun, friendly and welcoming club. We work as hard off court as we do on!"

Edinburgh Mavericks korfball club are always looking for new players - whatever the level of experience. We pride ourselves on being a fun, friendly and welcoming club, whilst also working hard to achieve on court. Several players started their very first season of playing korfball at the start of the 2013/14 season, and ended the season as league winners as part of the newly formed Mavs 2. But we don't want to stop there. We want to continue to introduce more and more players into korfball and continue to raise the status and quality of the Scottish Korfball League.

If you are interested in joining Edinburgh Mavericks, on whatever level and with whatever experience and knowledge (or lack thereof) of korfball you have, don't hesitate to approach us. You can email us, tweet us, facebook us, or just turn up to our next training session, details for which you can find at the bottom of this page, or our next social, which will be promoted through social media. We welcome your first correspondence with us being "so, seriously, what exactly is korfball?" and we will persuade you why joining Mavs will be the best decision you ever make.

How to get there:

We know it's a little out of town but being such a fantastic facility and with traning space in the city centre hard to come by, it's where we're based and we love it! It's also really handy to reach for people living outside of town - and many of our players come from all over! A lot of us drive too, so car sharing is a big thing for us. If you're stuck but want to try come along, don't hesitate to reach out, there's guaranteed to be someone nearby who can give you a lift! Just get in touch via email or Facebook. Alternatively, the best bus route from the city centre is Lothian Buses Number 25 - but again feel free to get in touch if you need any help figuring out how to join us. We promise it'll be worth it!
